GOVERN, Training, 13th-17th of July, 2014, Graz, Austria
On July 13th-17th 2014 the Tempus GOVERN (Fostering autonomy and accountability: development of state-of-the-art HE management system for efficient changes in line with Bologna principles) project meeting took place in Graz, Austria.
After the registration, the representative of WUS Austria introduced the 3-day program. The top administration representatives of the HEIs were present at the workshop, as the essential goal of the meeting was the training of top administrative bodies.
Education Quality, together with the Armenian an EU partners, was actively involved in the discussions and debates. The workshop provided an opportunity for the participants to become aware of the shortcomings in University organizational structure and development, strategic planning, as well as management and autonomy.
The EU partners shared their best experience in the sphere of University organizational structure and development. Particular attention was paid to the strategic planning, university management and autonomy, as well as financial management and controlling. EQ was engaged in the interactive process of group discussions and simulation designed to encourage the exchange of views, which was very fruitful and effective.
At the end of the workshop the outcomes of the meeting were summarized, and thus conclusions were made for the upcoming trainings and activities.
