GOVERN, PALERMO, ITALY, 12-16 NOVEMBER, 2014
On November 12-16, 2014, Education Quality, along with all the partners of the project, participated in the training for the Office of Academic affairs and Registrar, taken place in Palermo, Italy, within the framework of Tempus GOVERN (Fostering autonomy and accountability: development of state-of-the-art HE management system for efficient changes in line with Bologna principles) project. The University of Palermo and CESIE office in Palermo hosted all the partners of the project. The workshop was run by the European partners of the project: the representatives of the Bath Spa University and KULeuven, German expert Mr. Heinz-Ulrich Schmidt, and visiting professors of the University of Palermo Gianna Capello and Fabio Lo Verde. CESIE and WUS Austria were the organizers of the training, the latter is also the lead partner of this work package.
During the workshop the American University of Armenia and ANAU shared their experience and best practices with their partners. AUA delivered a report on ''Ensuring Quality through Academic Support Units such as Offices of the Registrar'', and ANAU introduced the activities carried out by the Information Technology and Innovation Program Center aimed at the implementation of electronic management system, particularly electronic dean offices.
